A woman stabs a man after his Chihuahua falls from his arms.

The CW is developing a Batwoman show, and the main character will be an "out lesbian."  The show won't premiere until the fall of next year, but her character will be introduced during the next DC crossover in December.

It's National Hot Dog Day.  According to a recent survey, America's favorite toppings are ketchup, chili, mustard, cheese, relish, onions, sauerkraut, mayo, jalapeños, and coleslaw.


7 am Headlines


Virginia man dies after stabbing himself in the groin with a sword.

Amazon just got a patent for a robot that throws things into boxes . . . and in their examples, they show the robot throwing a dwarf.  They swear it's a dwarf figurine . . . but the Little People of America organization thinks they're advocating dwarf tossing, which, quote, "is a real concern for us."

 Have you heard of the "Shiggy Challenge", where you dance to the Drake song "In My Feelings"?  Well, kids are now doing it after jumping from moving cars.  And a lot of them are hitting the asphalt hard . . . but still posting the videos.


9 am Headlines


 The Navajo Nation wanted to buy the gunmaker Remington. The bid—a cash offer of $475 million to $525 million—was rejected last week.

 A guy in Virginia called the cops on Monday . . . after he got fouled in a pickup basketball game.  The cops came, but the guy wound up deciding not to press assault charges.
