Tim McGraw was once offered a chance to play Elvis in a movie, but he said no because he'd have to gain 30 pounds.

Sleeping too much is just as bad as sleeping too little, according to a new study.  The researchers found that when people who slept four hours a night took a test, they performed like their brains were nine years older.  But . . . they saw the same effect on people who slept for over 10 hours.


7 am Headlines 

The 15 acts nominated for next year's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame class include:  Def Leppard, Devo, Janet Jackson, LL Cool J, Radiohead, Rage Against the Machine, Stevie Nicks, and The Cure.
In parts of Virginia, anyone 12 or older who goes trick-or-treating can be sent to jail for up to six month.

There's a guy in Kentucky who was arrested in July for stealing dozens of garden gnomes from people's yards.  But he missed a court date a few weeks ago . . . so now there's a warrant out for him, and he's a fugitive, all over garden gnomes.

 James Gunn will write, and possibly direct, the next "Suicide Squad."
