Health officials in a city in Colombia just put out a recommendation to help people deal with the heat:  Stop having sex.  They say that if you stop until it cools down, it'll help you avoid overheating.

 About an hour after Aretha Franklin died yesterday, a guy in Virginia shot another guy . . . after they got into an argument about whether Halle Berry should play Aretha in a movie.  The shooter was arrested, and the victim was rushed to the hospital in serious condition.


8 am Headlines

 The latest "Avengers" movie helped vault Scarlett Johansson to the top of this year's list of the "Forbes"  World's Highest Paid Actresses.  

A guy in Kentucky wouldn't pull over for the cops on Tuesday, and he said it was because he had a bathroom emergency.  When he got to his house, it turned out he was drunk and kicked a cop . . . and then he pooped in the back of their squad car.  He's facing several charges.

Paul Walker's brothers Caleb and Cody stood in for a digitally-recreated Paul and finish his scenes for "Furious 7".  And they'd like to do it for a future installment.  Cody says, quote, "I think there could potentially be a way to do it.  But . . . it'd have to be tasteful."
